Have A Dark Wax Coming From My Belly Button. Used Tweezers To Clean It. Pulled One Inch Of The Skin. Chances Of Yeast Infection?
I've noticed a dark wax coming out of my belly button for a while. I decided to take tweezers out and clean it and what happened was I pulled a one-inch white plug of wax out of my belly button. I read online that this is unusual and even though I'm in no pain and I feel fine, I am worried that I may have some kind of strange yeast or bacteria growing there.
Hello, i went through your complains and wax or any infection including fungus is common which can be treated accordingly (antibiotic + antifungal + anti inflammatory + local application of cream as per Dr's choice and maintaining proper hygiene. But pulling out of one inch white plug of wax - may be normal and may get dried up. If not dried up - rare possibility is umbilical sinus - which may need investigation with dye injection. Otherwise nothing to worry Best wishes
