Have A Problem Of Darkening Of The Face During Winter. The Skin Is Dry. Is Moisturizer The Reason For The Darkness?
I am an asian and i can see that my face is getting darker in the winter. I used to have white face and i was more whiter than my mom, but now these days when i look at the mirror my face is darker than my mom. My skin type is dry, and i apply aveeno positively radiant mosturizer every morning. I am wondering if the reason why it becomes darker is because of the mosturizer.... i don't know really what to do.
I read your query and understood your concern. A lot of people complain of skin darkening during winters mostly because people dont take proper precaution from sun in winter and of course also due to inadequate exfoliation of dry skin
Apply a sunscreen of minimum SPF 30 with PA protection, and protect the skin properly. Apply a vitamin C based moisturizer at night and twice weekly exfoliate your skin by applying 6% glycolic acid for four hours.
Hope I helped
