Have A Raised Line From Ear To Head Going Towards A Tender Lump

my husband has a raised line on his head that starts over the ear--toward top of head-- extends down to a lump that is at the base of the hair line which is tender to the touch. there seems to be a line on the other side but not as prominent and does not have the lump either. thanks .

Dear,

You have not mentioned the duration of presentation and its progression since occurence. Tenderness / painful condition indicates towards inflammatory / infective pathology. Ideal will be to get a Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) done to confirm the diagnosis. A trial course of antibiotic and anti inflammatory should be taken.
