Have A Shadow In The Eyesight. Have Been Diagnosed With Central Serous Rethinothopy And Cataracts. What To Do?
I was diagnosed with central serous rethinothopy. It has been more than a year, but my retina doctor says the leakage has stopped and has closed . I still see a bit of a shadow in my eyesight and when I close my eyes I still the fluid in my eye. Last exam shows a bubble of fluid. I see this when I close my right eye and move my head from left to right. I have also been diagnosed with cataracts which he said I have had since birth. Objects look smaller in left eye, and dim. Is cataract surgery going to help? I am 43 years old and concerned.
Welcome to HCM portal. Since the CSR you had is healed then it is not much of a issue now. There appears to be some residual damage left, which may or may not regress with the passage of time. What we do not know at this time as to what is the effect of CSR and how much of vision is affected by cataract.Removal of cataract is bound to improve the situation.
