Have Been Suffering From Hair Thinning. What Could The Result If Mintop Is Taken? What Could Be The Side Effects?
Hi I am a 34yr old woman, suffering from over all thinning of hair to the extent that the scalp has started showing in front. A freind suffering from similar problem had been prescribed Mintop 5 %. I am considering using the same but am worried about the side effects. Also I have heard it should 2% for women. Please advise.
Causes of hair loss/thinning of hair are: 1. Environmental factors 2. Stress 3. Deficiency of certain minerals, vitamins & amino acids in diet. e.g. Iron, zinc, Vit B complex, lysine. 4. Hormonal factors. e.g. Thyroxine 5. Any incidence of surgery, shock, etc.
Mintop contains Minoxidil which helps to stimulate the hair follicles. Side effects like redness or burning sensation may be present. But they are well tolerated & subside on its own. One more thing, hair loss tend to increase on sudden stoppage of Minoxidil. So, it will be better to consult a Dermatologist to find out the underlying cause & start treatment accordingly.
Take care.
