You have had intercourse, five days before the expected date of period that falls during the 'safe period', so the chances of
pregnancy is less. Nexplanon should be implanted during the first 5 days of period to be on the safer side, as it will exert protection without a need for additional
contraceptive method if implanted during this time.
If taken even 3 days before the expected date of periods,
progesterone can stop periods. Nexplanon releases progesterone slowly and this may be the reason for the delay or absence of your periods.
Although the risk of pregnancy is minimal for you, please rule out pregnancy through
blood test. Home pregnancy kits detect
HCG level in urine which may not be positive so early. But blood tests will give you an accurate information about your status.
