Have Bruise On Knee, Liquid-filled Lump. What To Do?

I got a bad bruise on my knee about a week ago. I iced it after i got it but it was still pretty bad. the bruise is nearly gone but there is a squishy lump where it was. If I massage it it feels numb and i think there is liquid in it. also i can feel a small thing inside it that moves around freely. What is the lump? What should I do? Should I be concerned? Can I still play football?

Hi,

It seems that you have developed hematoma.

You have to take rest for about two weeks.

There is a collection of blood underneath the skin.

It is clotted... And then it is absorbed back in blood vessels gradually.

Apply thrombophob oint.

Take vitamin C and K.

Antibiotics may be taken for 1 to 2 weeks.

Do not worry, if you feel to consult somebody , consult dermatologist or surgeon.

Thanks.
