Have Burning Inside Flaps Of Vagina, Blister, Red And Itchy, Stinging, Burns When Urinating. Prescribed Valacyclovir. UTI?
Towards the end of this summer i had a urinary track infection i beleive because i always had an urge to pee and it burned a little when i did but my mom told me to clean my vagina everytime i urinated with distilled water and vinegar and it went away after a week. Just last week on Thursday i notice inside the flaps of my vagina was burning and a bit more red than usual and very itchy everytime i used the bathroom i went to the gynecologist Thursday afternoon they said my urine was healthy as well as the inside of my vagina but the doctor wanted to test me for herpes just because it hurted me very bad when she pressed down on the tender part so they put me on valacyclovir 500 mg tablets 2 for 5 days. So for the pass couple of days I've been keeping my vaganal area clean with vinegar and distilled water along with coconut oil and it started to go away but Just today on October 29 after school i noticed when i was urinating either the clitoris or the uretha i beleive (the part where your urine come straigt out of) burned very so badly and stung. I looked at it and it looked a little swollen like it was a blister and had a red tip and later that night (15 mins ago) when i went to pee i couldnt even pee correctly i had to let it drip out because it was burning and stinging so bad!! Please help!!! I'm going bak to get a check up on Thursday and i still dont know the results yet but please let me know whats going on with my body!!!

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
Herpes infection usually lasts for 10 - 15 days in first episode. and recurrence of symptoms are common in this infection.
Do not use scented soaps, bubble bath, etc, as these may irritate. Gentle cleaning of the sores with just cotton wool and plain or salt water is best. Pain killers and local anesthetic ointment application will help to reduce your symptoms.Discuss with your doctor for medications prescription.
Antiviral medication does not clear the virus from the body. It works by stopping the virus from multiplying. Antiviral medication is most useful for a first episode of symptoms. It reduces the severity and duration of symptoms if it is started within five days of symptoms starting. A five-day course of treatment is usual, but may be extended by a few days if blisters are still forming.
You can get swab test from blister to confirm diagnosis and also tests to look for other sexually transmitted infections may also be done at the same time.
Hope this helps you.
Regards
