Have Constipation, Heaviness In Abdomen, Sticky Stool And Less Bowel Movement. How To Overcome This?
I am fifty years old and having incomplete evacution or constipation for last 8 years. some one suggested that i might be gluten sensitive there by started having gluten free diet for past 6 months. Bowel movement was much better during this period but now for past 10 days i am having sticky stool , very little bowel movement, heavyness in the abodomen. my life is miserable again. i do not know what to do.
- drink more water : makes your stool less sticky - take lactulose and sena supplements : to ease bowel movement - you can take malabsorption tests to determine that you have gluten intolerance - have your meals regularly - eat more foods high in fiber - do more exercise
If no progress, should consult GI specialist to further evaluate if you have organic problems (slowing down of intestinal movements) or it is because of diet.
All the best! Dr.Alba
