Have Costochondritis. Lightheadedness, Pain In Shoulder, Neck, Chest And Back
I was told I have costochondritis , but its not a sharp pain. I once heard this poof inside my body when weight lifting then I felt like the life was being drained from me. I get light headed and and lose the color in my skin. Now at times I just get the life draining light headedness without any warning. I also have pain in my shoulder neck , chest and back
Costochondritis can cause severe pain in the chest that is worse on movement of the torso. This pain can be felt on palpation of the chest. It is caused by inflammation of the area where the ribs meet the sternum.
The pain can last from a few days to weeks in some persons.
It is normally treated with anti inflammatory pain medication but if it is not effective then stronger medication can be used.
Welcome to HCM.It seems like the poof while straining during weight lifting have caused a ligament injury or rib strain/intercostal muscel rupture at the insertion is also possibility.Cervical or upper dorsal spine injury /stenosis or compression of cervical spinal nerve roots would also need to be assessed.A CT scan Chest may help identify the exact lesion.
