Have Cough And Fever. Took Chericof Syrup, Crocin Syrup. Prescribed Sinarest AF

My son is 3yrs old. He has got cough for the past 5 days and has got fever 100.7F or so. I was giving him Chericof syrup 2.5ml 3times and crocin syrup 7ml when fever is more than 100F. It is almost 3days now and the cough is not reduced and the fever also keeps repeating. The pediatrician told me to stop chericof and to give Sinarest AF. So please advise.

Hi,
As your pediatrician's advice give sinarest AF and stop other drugs. If the fever raises more than 103 then give tepid sponging. This will subside in couple of days. If not he may require examination again and investigations antibiotic may be required. So for now give good hydration with sinarest and follow your Pediatrician's advice.

Hope this helps you.

Regards
