Have Cough, Phlegm, Blocked Lungs, Hard To Swallow. On Zpack. Will I Be Okay?

I have been sick with this for 3 weeks, cough, flem, I cough and start getting the urge to throw up, my flem block my lungs I can't breathe, I'm choking, I have to try to swallow and burp to breathe. My local Dr placed me on a zpack, testator and methylprednisolone. That finished with them. Condition have gotten a bit better. When I drink water or fluid I have to gulp for air

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
After going through your history,it looks that you have post viral bronchitis, as you have not given any thing details about your pre existing condition like COPD or Asthma.
You are taking antibiotic and Corticosteroids ( Methylprednisolone) which are very good anti inflammatory and immunosuppressant as required for treatment.
If you are having shortness of breath then inhalation bronchodilators by nebulizer may be very useful.Supportive therapy with Oxygen, antihistamine,
Other agents which can be useful are mucolytic agents like Acetylcysteine and ambroxol.If required methyl xanthine derivatives may be used.
If you are improving hope you will be normal in few days, please discuss about treatment with your Physician.
In case you smoke then you should quit smoking for life long.
Please be positive and take your treatment regularly.
