Have Diabetes Type 1. Itching Body, Lost Voice, Tiredness, Coughing, Vomiting, Upper Back Pain

I am a type 1 diabetic for 20 years, I am currently 29 years old. I had a weird reaction to something last week and was itching all over my body so dermatologist gave me a steroid shot ( one was celstone and other was kenlog) and 5 days later, I lost my voice and started feeling tired and bad, but not too bad. That was on friday night and saturday. By the following Monday am, I was starting to cough. That evening, even more and coughed so much that I ended up vomiting and my upper back hurts when I talk now or have to cough.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Considering the clinical history there are two possibilities.

One is chest infection. I would advise my patient to take a chest x ray and sputum test to rule out infection. If so treat it with a course of antibiotics.

Second possibility is Gastritis(inflammation of the stomach). A gastroscopy will help in the diagnosis. Proton pump inhibitor like omeprazole is prescribed to treat it.

Consult and discuss with your doctor.
