Have Dilated Pupils, Headache. Had Neck Injury. Should I Be Concerned?
Hi, My daughter is 21 & has had dilated pupils for the past week....My daughter does not take drugs & is not on any medication. My daughter was in a physical altercation about a week and a half ago & received a slight hit to the back of the head, near her upper neck. Her vision is ok but has slight headache since the incident.....Should I be concerned & what should I do? Thank You.
hi, thank you for your query. what your daughter is suffering from is a sign of post-concussion syndrome(PCS) dilated pupils and headache is a sign of PCS.
hence i would advice you to get an mri done to know the extent of head injury.till then your daughter should take rest and not engage in any strenuous exercise such as athletics or gymnastics. the symptoms will resolve over a period but care needs to be taken and she should be monitored.
thank you, you can contact me for further queries.
