Hi My name is John - Nice to meet you Doctor I have had a fair amount of discomfort in my pretty high up in Right Hand Side of my Abdomen in the last week or so Also my faeces has been a bit strange - vey smelly but not in a bad way though - more a natural smell Also they were chalky yellow one day Some time back I had ( and still have a little ) discomfort in the RHS going right down into the Pelvis and I thought, at a time, that it was eminating from the Right testicle.

Hello,
welcome to Healthcaremagic.

Thanks for your query.
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.

Chalky yellow or white stool is caused by lack of bile.
It is not a normal condition.
It is to be evaluated first.

Bile is produced by liver.
If the liver doesn't produce bile or if bile is obstructed from leaving the liver, stool will be light colored or white.

Thus you have problem either in liver or gall bladder or bile duct.
Also you have the discomfort in the region of right upper abdomen, it is the region where the liver, gall bladder and bile duct are located.

There are plenty of causes for chalky stools.
Some important causes are
1.Alcoholic hepatitis
2. Biliary cirrhosis
3. Tumors of the liver or biliary system
4. Cysts of the bile ducts
5. Gallstones
6. Viral hepatitis.

My advise is to look for any jaundice and have complete physical examination by your doctor.
He may look for any enlargement of liver, tenderness in gall bladder region etc..

In addition, please do the following investigations.
1. Complete blood test
2. Urinalysis including bile salts and bile pigments
3. Liver function tests.
4. Hepatitis virus antibodies test
5. Imaging studies like Ultrasound abdomen and CT Scan Abdomen.

As for pain in the pelvis and right testicle is concerned, it may be due to varicose veins.
Consider general physical examination by your PCP.

Hope this helps.
Please reply for further queries.
Wishing you good health.
