Have Dizziness, Drowsiness, Low Energy And Vertigo. Blood Test Normal. On Imrest For Flu. Side Effects?
Hi I have been experiencing dizziness, drowsiness, low energy and Vertigo for the last 8 weeks. Have all the blood tests done but evreything was ok. I also have had flu like symptoms like nasal congestions, sore throat, pain throughout the body. I have not been prescribed nay medicine as my Gp thinks i have no infection. The only medicine i am on is Imrest. Do you think Imrest could be causing dizziness, drowsiness and Vertigo.
Imrest is the trade name for a medication called zolpiclone which is used for insomnia.
It can be associated with drowsiness , dizziness and impaired coordination (clumsiness).
It is also possible that a viral illness may be contributing to your vertigo. Conditions affecting the inner ear are the most common cause of vertigo. There are 3 main inner ear conditions , one of these is vestibular neuronitis.
This may be associated with a previous history of viral illness such as the cough and cold symptoms you are describing.
It is treated with the temporary use of medication to help with the vertigo and nausea.
I hope this helps
