Have Dizziness, Growling In Stomach, Diagnosed With Diarrhea And IBS. Is Dehydration A Cause Of Worry?
Hi I was asleep and woke up feeling a bit dizzy and my stomach is growling. I had to go to the bathroom and poop since then my stomach is making loud rumbling noises and I feel like something is not right. my dr diagnosed me with I have IBS a few years ago just thought I tell u that and about 3 weeks ago I fainted after I went diarrhea and was taken to the ER I was told that I was dehydrated.
Please clarify whether you menat irritable bowel syndrome or inflammatory bowel disease by term IBS? But one thing for sure is whenever one has diarrhoea or recurrent vomiting; one has to watch out for dehydration because dehydration indeed is a cause of worry. Few simple things to avoid dehydration is; irrespective of diarrhoea you should try to eat your normal diet as much as possible. Secondly you should use Oral rehydration solution solution (ORS) 1 sachet dissolved in 1 liter of water & drink the same as much as possible & as & when required in small sips (to avoid gastrocolic reflux & bout of diarrhoea) till diarrhoea subsides. This will prevent dehydration. Good luck
