Have Dry Cough. Pus Like Pimple On Tonsils. On Amoxicillin And Codeine. Is There Anything I Can Do?

I have had a pus like pimple on my right tonsil for the past 6 months. I have already taken a 10 day course of amoxicillin and a codeine type of cough medicine, and nothing helped with the pus like pimple on my tonsil. Now for the past three days I have a sore itchy throat, it hurts to swallow anything, and the pus like pimple on my tonsil is still there. I have a dry cough only because it feels like there's something stuck in my throat... I was thinking it was allergies because every time the weather changes I feel like I have a itchy throat, last for day or two and comes back the next time the weather changes... Is there anything I can do for this?

pus like pimple on the tonsil indicates a pus point on the tonsil, which signifies infection.

may be the amoxycillin you are taking are not able to clear the infection and you need some better antibiotics.

consult your doctor to go for the throat swab to see which antibiotics you need.

In the mean time , you can try gargles along with anti inflammatory medications.
