Have Excessive Pain In Right Rib Cage While Laughing And Cough After Having Had Cold. Why Is It Persistent?

on the lower inside of my right ribcage , when laughing or a cough , theres a dull but obvious pain that I've had for about 5 days . it started after a day of about 5 alcoholic beverages , but the week before id had a cold & noticed it after some heavy coughing . Now for the past 5 days , it has decreased but i notice it more again today .

Thanks for your query.
This sort of pain which is localised and which increases on maneuvers like coughing, sneezing etc is called pleuritic chest pain and signifies pleural inflammation. Your infection has probably involved lung and pleura.
You need to have an antibiotic course for 7-10 days. Azithromycin or combination of amoxycillin and azithromycin will be good.
Get a chest xray done and meet your doctor....
