Have Excessive Salivation Along With Pain And Dried Socket. Had Wisdom Teeth Removed Earlier. What Should Be Done Now?

hi i had my two wisdom teeth on the right side removed 5 days ago, and i developped a dried socket. It's painful and the dentist flashed it and put medication in it today. I also still have excessive salivation, and spiting it or swallowing it makes it painful on the dry socket. what do you advise i do right now? please help

Hello,
I would advice you to take complete course of medicines prescribed.
Maintain oral hygiene well.
Rinse your mouth after every meals.
Gargle frequently with warm saline or betadine.
Dressing the socket with gauze soaked in zinc oxide solution may be helpful.
Please do visit a dentist if symptoms persists.

Hi,
Thanks for asking,
As you had dry socket and your dentist has flushed it.
Follow your antibiotic prescription properly.
Continue warm saline rinses for a week.
Do take care of your oral hygiene so that debris may not get accumulate in socket.
healing depends on person to person so don't worry.
Take nutritious diet and more of citrus fruits so that you can get vitamin c .

Dear friend.

Thanks for sharing your concern.

Dry socket can be well treated by placing suitable medicament in the healing socket.

A medicated gauge containing iodofoam or zinc oxide eugenol is placed in the healing socket.

Then this dressing is changed at regular intervals.

Also, antibiotics and analgesics is given simultaneously for speedy recover.The dislodged clot takes time to heal completely.

in case of excessive salivation, donot spit it out again and again... try to swallow it... now the medication has been applied so your pain will go eventually with time... donot worry...
just do proper course of medication (analgesics and antibiotics) prescribed by your dentist...

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

Dry socket is treated by using guaze pack with ZnOE paste.
You have to change the dressing periodically.

Take complete course of antibiotics and analgesics.
Avoid spitting again and again.
Take lukewarm saline rinses and antiseptic mouthwash rinses.
Maintain a good oral hygiene.
