Have Fasciculations On Legs And Feet, Lumbar Pain. Had A Fracture On L4 & L5. Right Medication?

Hi, I have, over time developed fasciculations of my lower legs and feet. It started out with very occasional twitching on the instep of mainly, the left foot. History, I fractured my L4 & L5 5 years ago in a horse riding accident. I have recently developed lumbar pain with restricted range of movement, bending forward. I have no associted muscle weakness but the fasciculationd are increasing in intensity, particularly in the left leg. I am a very fit and active, mid fifties female. I am thinking BFS but am wondering if I should seek medical advice?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The muscle weakness and fasciculations that you have developed can be related to a nerve root compression at the level of lumbar spine. You need to get an MRI scan done to see the exact extent of affection.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
