Have Fibroid, Heavy Bleeding With Large Clots. On Norethisterone. If Medicine Stopped, Heavy Bleeding. Suggestions?
I am taking Norethisterone as I have heavy bleeding with large clots due to a fibroid in the cavity of my womb. This has been confirmed by an ultrasound. I am waiting to see a gynecologist to see what the best option would be for me as I have 3 other fibroids outside the cavity. Am i able to continuing taking Norethisterone until I get an appointment with the gynecologist I have been taking it for a month and my GP says I must stop for 4 days but if I do I will bleed non stop. I will be house bound as the clots just gush out of me and I cannot afford to take time off work. Am I not able to continue taking Norethisterone without stopping for a break I anticipate it will take another month before I get an appointment with the gynecologist. I have not bled not even spotted since I took Norethiserone which took 48 hours to stop me bleeding.
HI, Taking norethisterone to stop bleeding due to fibriods, one in the cavity and 3 superfecial. If you are forced to stop the tablets you can have a depo injection to stop bleeding. Finally the option of treatment will be hysterectomy, as one is internal and 3 more out side fibroidectomy may not be advisible. Thank you.
