Have Flesh Colored Lumps On Vagina, Red. How Soon After Sex Can You Get Herpes?
Last week a guy I was with, 7-8 months, found out he has herpes. I haven't been with him since. I'm with another guy now and we are fairhful. Well, the other day I found some flesh colored lumps on the outside of my vagina. They have no puss and don't look like blisters. My vagina is red though and doesn't itch and it doesn't hurt to pee. The lumps have gotten bigger within 1 day and the redness wasnt there yesterday either. How soon after sex can you get herpes and does this sound like it?
Hello and welcome to HCM, The herpes simplex infection is characterized by appearance of small confluent fluid filled vesicles. These lesions are painless. The fluid of these vesicles contain the infectious particle. Shedding of these viral particles cause herpes infection. The typical herpes lesions develop 7-8 days after acquiring infection. herpes simplex infection can be confirmed by taking immune test on serum. If the test comes out to be positive, anti-viral therapy needs to be taken. It is advisable to avoid sexual contact till the infection is cleared from the body as the infection can be transmitted to your partner. Your partner also needs to be treated for the infection.
