Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are many causes of excess belching. The most common causes are
(1) air swallowing ,

(2)GERD- this stands of gastroesophageal reflux disease. There may also be symptoms such as burning discomfort in the chest, excess salivation. This is treated by lifestyle changes such as reducing the use of fried/fatty/spicy/ citrus foods and also reducing food portions. Weight loss , if there is any excess weight would also be helpful.

(3) , gastroparesis- in this condition there is reduced movement or contraction of the stomach. It can be related to other conditions such as diabetes

(4) food intolerance- sometimes the use of some foods can result in bloating and excess belching. This is more common with foods such as turnips, beans, broccoli, cabbage, brussel sprouts ,

(5)constipation,

(6)side effect of medication,

(7)related to the use of carbonated drinks.

If it is related to heart burn then the above suggestions related to GERD may be helpful to you
