Hello Doctor,
I am a 35 years old lady and I amsuffering from hairfall for more than 10 years, genetic hairfall problem is there on both father and mother's side. 2 years ago, I consulted a dermatologist who suggested minoxidil 2% with vitamins for hair. Though I didn't hair growth, hair fall got controlled. So I am still continuing with minoxidil 5% now. Off and on hair fall was there, but volume did not reduce too much. But for the past six months, hair fall is not getting controlled and volume has drastically reduced, I took thyroid tests it came out .6 above the normal range, I took additional tests for TSH and told no need to start any medications for thyroid now. Now the state of my hair is that on the front side of my head, I have enough hair, but overall the hair volume is reduced. Aso I consulted a trichologist, who identified my problem as telogen effluvium. So doctor can you please advise me as to how I should proceed?
