Have Had Long Periods, Breast Tenderness, Mood Swings And Headaches. Suffering With Panic Attacks And Anxiety

Hi there I'm 46 and seem to have had either a really long period or what seems like a cycle of two periods together. About two weeks. I've had breast tenderness at the start if each, headaches like always and heart palpitations. I have felt really emotional and typical PMT mood swings but more pronounced. I have woken up for three nights feeling really hot and needing a fan on. I have noticed that the last few periods have not been exactly 28 days inbetween with a couple of days difference. I have also been highly stressed at work. I am panicking about what is happening to me. Is it likely a hormone imbalance? I have been suffering with anxiety, panic attacks for a while. Please help. Sally

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C. M. Forum.
Decrease in level of estrogen due to perimenopause is the main reason of hot feelings , anxiety , tender breast, headache.
This is the main reason of your problems.
2nd reason may be due to tension and stress ( work related).
Please note one thing that engage your self in such type of work ,where you involve and get peace of mind .
Consult a Gynaecologist and get treatment for peri menopausal syndrome.
Hope I have answered your question.
If further any question I will help.
Good luck.
