HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Hair loss can related to different possible causes.
Thyroid disease is one of these. Normal TSH range is 0.5 to 5 , though they can be some lab variations. Your values is slightly above the norm, thyroid replacement may help.
The other causes are: (1) telogen effluvium- this is hair loss that occurs in response to extreme
stress,
pregnancy, major surgery, drastic hair loss.It occurs 6 weeks to 3 months after the stressful event. The hair regrows on its own but it can take months to do so
(2) it can be due to hereditary factors
(3)lupus
(4)
iron deficiency anemia
(5)polycystic ovarian syndrome
(6)diseases of the hair and scalp such as fungal infections, seborrheic dermatitis
(7)
alopecia areata- this is an auto immune disease where the body essentially attacks the scalp.
In addition to the thyroid tests you may want to rule out some of the conditions mentioned above with further blood tests.
I hope this helps
