I am pretty sure I have a hamstring strain in at least one of my legs and possibly both. My hamstrings have been a bit uncomfortable for the past week. I played frisbee Friday, and the problem got worse. Basically, my hamstrings feel tight, and today I noticed that my right leg is swollen above the knee, and I have a bruise (shades of purple) on the back of my thigh. I rarely get bruises. Anyway, I can walk and even run, but it doesn't feel good. I'm compensating for the pain by walking differently than I normally would. What should I do? I work outside and walk around the forest all day. Will I be able to work and let it heal, or do I need to minimize use for it to heal? What should I do to alleviate the swelling and the tightness. I don't want to go to a doctor, but should I?
