Have Heavy Periods, Intense Pain And Flooding. Had Ultrasound Test Done. Taking Progesterone. What Should Be Done?
I have had extreme periods for the last two years with intense pain, and flooding. I had an internal and external ultrasound of my uterus and ovaries yesterday. I have been on progesterone to stop bleeding. I have had constant bleeding since April. I went on the pill in january this year so i could stop the periods for a time, but I think this triggered the constant bleeding. The results of scan are: The uterus is anteverted, appears bicornuate and measures 107mm x 59mm x 82mm. Myometrial echotexture is heterogeneous. Small untramural fibroids aare present measuring 10mm anteriorly and 15mm posteriorly. The endometrial stripe thickness is 8mm, in both horns and secretory in appearance. The ovaries appear normal right = 24x15x16mm=3cc Left = 29x15x70mm=4cc No adnexul mass is identified. There is no pelvic free fluid. Conclusion Bulky bicornuate appearing uterus with small fibroids. No endometrial abnormally identified.

hi, you have not mentioned your age and your past menstrual history. you are diagnosed with DUB dysfunctional uterine bleeding. this could be due to intramural fibriods, and endometriosis. please see your gynaecologist for this. all the best.
