Have Hitatal Hernia, Half Of Stomach Has Moved Into Chest, Pulse Elevated. Treatment?
I have a hitatal hernia. (Very large) half of my stomach has moved into my chest. My pulse is elevated & I can see & feel my heart beating. I saw a surgeon & will be having a round of tests. I have had 2 surgeries to try & correct the problem. I'm worry about my heart as it seems to be working harder. My bp is 117/74, pulse at rest 110.

Hi, Thank you for posting your question here, I will try to answer it to the best of my abilities.
An operation for a hiatal hernia may involve pulling your stomach down into your abdomen and making the opening in your diaphragm smaller, reconstructing a weak esophageal sphincter, or removing the hernia sac. In some cases, this is done using a single incision in your chest wall (thoracotomy) or abdomen (laparotomy). Your heart could be working hard because you are constantly worrying, stress can cause it. So just calm down and try to relax.
I hope this answered your question.
