Have Inflamed Ingrown Hair On Inner Thigh. Any Medication To Clear Up?
Hi I am Female and have ingrown hair (I believe) on the inside of my thighs and some are really inflamed, it seems that it may have turned bad as it seems that it has spreed half way down my inner thighs. I am feeling really unconfident about myself and was wondering if the doctors have a medication that would clear it up?
I am so sorry to hear about the inflamed grown hair.
From the inforation you have provided, the infection sees to be extending and causes a lot of pains. For sure it sounds like a bacteria infection. This could represent cellulitiserysipelas, infected fungal infection, etc. I will suggest that you get consulted so that the exact cause can be established and you treated accordingly. I will strongly discourage against waiting longer as this may help the infection to spread more.
You would most likely take pain medications, a local antiseptic for disinfection and an antibiotics depending on what the findings on exam are.
I hope this helps and I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask more questions if need be. Dr. Ditah, MD
