Have Itchy Rashes Which Looks Pimple Below The Coccyx. No Medication Till Now. What It Could Be?
Every spring (aprox 5 years now) I get a painful area just below my coccyx and slightly on to my upper right buttock which develops into a red rasised itchy rash. It is about a half dollar sized with a small cluster of what looks like 5 or 6 pimples with whiteheads. They eventually break open with a white pus like drainage (does not smell) and then the area becomes hard and goes away until next spring. I do not go in tanning beds, I really do not sweat in this area. Any ideas as to what it could be?
I understand your concerns. However, the itchy rashes that look like pimples below the coccyx does not seem to be an allergic reaction, but an infection. I think you should keep the area clean wipe it with povidone iodine solution as well as apply an antibiotic cream or powder till you feel like there is no more rashes. Also change your undergarments very frequently. I hope this helps.
Take care and see a dermatologist if things do not improve. Have a lovely day!
