Have Itchy, Swollen, Sore Labia. No Soothing From Vagasil, Sudocream. Due To Menopause?
I am a 54 year old woman. Have been suffering for some months with an itchy and inflamed labia, which over the past few days has became very much worse. Now extremely swollen and sore. Have used vagasil, sudocrem etc and nothing soothes the inflamation. One area feels particularly hard and rigid in the skin. I have been married for 30 years - is this just something that goes with the menopaus?
Hi, as you describe it is a menopausual change due to the defeciency of the estrogen, there will be infections like fungus, candida, and trichomoniasis, as the time pases there will be secondary bacterial infection, the hard part is the actual bacterial infection. And it tends to spread to the suroundings. So i advise you to consult a gynicologist for diagnosis and treatment. Thank you.
