Have Pain And Bruise Along With A Lump Near The Rib Cage

I was sparring a few weeks ago and got punched in my left rib cage (I think the second rib counting up) and it was bruised but didn't hurt. I started to notice small pains when I stretch or take a deep breath. Now there is a small hard lump (doesn't hurt) when I stretch out my torso right over the impacted area. Is this something I should worry about?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain and bruise that you have is due to a henatona formation in the area due to the injury. It is normal for the area to feel firm after some weeks. This is normal and will resolve gradually.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
