Have Pain And Burning Sensation In The Foot And Ankle. Used Ice Packs. Can It Be A Torn Ligament?

i had had burning and pain at the top of my right foot and ankle.. does this sound like a torn ligament??
This had been going on for 3 weeks.. It hurts too much to even go for a walk around the block, or up and down my stairs in our house. I do ice the area.. which helps a bit.. but as soon as the ice pack comes off.. the pain and burning start all over again

Hello,

The injury is more likely to may involved the soft tissue or bone or both.
It may be the ligament, muscle, tendon anything.
Take an X-ray or MRI of the area.
Consult an orthopedician.
