Have Pain In Arm, Neck And Ear Throbbing. Took Medicines. Right Medication?
I was awoken this morning out of a dead sleep by the right side of my neck throbbing & the pain was going into my arm. there wasn't a position I could get in that was comfortable. it was hurting so bad I was crying due to the amount of pain! now my ear is throbbing & I don't know what's wrong. I took some meds this morning but it's not helping.
I have gone through your query regarding sudden throbbing pain in your right ear and neck & arm. Since you were in comfortable position during sleep therefore it can't be postural.
Your ear ache is throbbing which is characteristic of acute otitis media. This acute otitis media most of the time is a complication of throat infection, your neck pain may also be due to throat infection. Therefore you are most probably suffering from Pharyngitis with acute otitis media.
You are advice to take-
1- Tab Paracetamol.
2- Steam inhalation & warm saline gargling.
3- Anti histaminic.
4- Decongestant.
most likely above treatment will suit you , but if even after this your problem persists than consultation with ENT doctor will become necessary.
Regards.
