Have Pain In Toe Nails. Thick Skin Growing Underside The Nail. On Atomodine. Is Not Helping. Treatment?
or the longest time I have had pain in my big toe nails growing in grown I had one completely removed about 12 years ago and it grew back the same if not worse there is thick skin growing on the left underside of the nail leaving it to grow thick and odd shaped. to prevent from having to constantly remove these ingrowths how do I get rid. I have heard atomodine has really really helped and even had my mom use it as she had a major fungis on her nails and it completely healed her nails after several years but it not reacting the same to mine. Please help

Hi,
You seem to be suffering from onychocryptosis. It is basically treated by partial nail avulsion and lateral nail matrix destruction by phenolisation. In your case prob ably nail matrix destruction was not done and hence it free back as it was.
Also always cut your nails in square shape and try to lift the embedded margins by using toothpick.
Iodine won't help.
