Have Pain On Right Side Of Face Towards Jaw. Had Migraines. Prescribed Gabapentin

Hello

I'm going through alot of stress right now; searching for work, unemployment running out, and a single mom. I'm 58, run every day, but today I woke up with a weird sharp pain that comes and goes on the right side of face toward the jaw. Seemed like I saw black dots for a bit, but then fortunately that went away. I have a big (final) interview with a firm today, have had migraines in past but since I've been prescribed Gabapentin I don't have those anymore. What do you think? I'm not overweight, pretty healthy and active for a 58 year old!!

Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

I have read your concern.

The black dots as well as pain on right side of face towards jaws may be due to-

Deep caries from which infection has spread into pulp as well as p eri apical areas.

I would advice you to visit a dentist and get a thorough clinical evaluation done.

Decayed tooth has to be restored or extracted depending on severity of infection.
Analgesics along with antibiotics has to be administered to relieve pain.

Hope this helps.
