Have Pectus Carinatum, Unable To Burp. Thin, Have Depression
My son is 27 and was born with pectus carinatum .he also has never been able to burp. His pediatrician never thought it a concern as his growth rate was normal. Now as an adult he is very thin and suffers from depression. He has no energy and I am very concerned. He was recently placed on antidepressant and is in counseling. There is much on the web about leaky gut syndrome and I wonder now if some of his problem isn t from his anatomical problems.

Have Pectus Carinatum, Unable To Burp. Thin, Have Depression
Hi, Usually, individuals born with pectus carinatum remain thin. Treating his depression and depression itself has caused him to be with no energy. I understand that you are concerning as a mother; but you must be strong enough to face your destiny. It is good that your son is being treated medically and psychologically. That will help overcome his depression problems. Not being able to burp is not something to be worried about. If no bur, then, more farting is present. Although being special, the anatomical constituents of your son can allow farting if no burping. Do not worry. All the best to you and your son.
