Have Redness, Swelling Inner Vaginal Lip, Itched After Shaving. Concern?

The inside of my lip of my vagina is red and the whole entire lip of it is swollen. I just shaved not to long ago so it was itching. Idk if I did something while scratching or do u think I should be concerned about it? I always get infected hair to when I shave but I doesn't look like a affected hair though. It started this yesterday evening before I got into the shower and it happened quickly also

It is most probable that you are suffering from

folliculitis since you just recently shaved. Folliculitis

is bacterial infection of hair follicles which is common

after shaving.

Itch and redness are common symptoms in folliculitis.

It is also possible that you have a genital tract infection

other than the folliculitis since you mentioned of redness

in the inner labia which is common in vulvovaginitis which

could be due to bacterial or yeast or parasite (trichomoniasis)

infection.

In my opinion you should be concern and at least meet a doctor.
