Have Retracted Nipples. Taken Radioactive Iodine Therapy, Total Thyroidectomy. Help?
Hi. i am 34 and unmarried female. i have retracted nipples. please suggest me appropriate treatment and the cause of this retraction . i had undergone total thyroidectomy 9 years back i took radioactive iodine therapy as well. Also i had irregular periods for which doctor prescribed me ELOGEN tablet for 90 days. please help!
Retracted nipples are usually due to fibrotic band below the nipple and may get corrected during breast feeding or may require surgical correction if required.
It may not be related to your radioactive iodine treatment and i would also suggest you to get your thyroid blood tests done and titrate the thyroxine dose as required
