Welcome to HCM!

I have read your question carefully and I can see that you are worried about your child. You have mentioned he had got his MRI done but you have not given any reports to look at. From my clinical experince I can say that --either
1: your son has severe headache and along with the headaches he developed some neurological complaints like , loss of speech etc for some time.

Or 2: it can be due to high blood pressure.

if you have any reports then it will be easy to think of the cause for these symptoms. There is a possibility that he may have some vascular problems which used to give him headaches and finally led to speech loss. But the exact nature can be found with investigations and tests.

The important thing right now is to look at the source of problem ( headaches & loss of speech appear to be related in your son's case).
Please do not worry, you have mentioned that the speech has come to certain extent. It is a usual case that when there is loss of voice or loss of movement of any body part in a person because of some reason, the the recovery takes sometime. If the voice is coming back, then I'm almost sure that he will get it back completely in few weeks time ( or may be before).

Hope your son gets well soon!
