Have Severe Pain, Burning Sensation And Itching In The Anus

My husband has a rip (as he calls it) in his anus. Had a large hard turd made out of barbed wire (he says that is he way it felt) and when he released it he says it ripped his anus. How do you repair something like this? He says it burns and itches and he a big pain in my butt about it. Any suggestions would be appreciated and welcomed. He just told that he has been using preparation H and a triple antibiotic gel with a pain killer in it. Please help. Desperate wife here. Been going on now for several weeks.. No more please Help!!!!!!.

Hi,

I have gone through your query.
From the symptoms you mentioned, it is suggestive of either Piles(hemorrhoids) or Anal fissure. They may not be bleeding. Triple antibiotic may not work in this case.
You should see him a local surgeon for clinical examination and necessary treatment. If anal fissure surgical treatment may be required.
He should avoid constipation by using stool softeners like sodium docusate and drink lot of fluids.
