Have Severe Pain In Legs And Joints

I have pain in both legs, only in the back....doesn t feel like it is in the muscle or bone, feels like the tissue and tender to touch. Have been taking Mobic for last 6 months 1 daily, started taking 1 am and 1 pm, when leg pain increased and they even seemed much worse. So have discontinued Mobic, leg pain is much better however joint pain has increased. I also take Lipitor 10mg daily. Very good health otherwise.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi there.

Your symptoms correlate to disease of the spine .
It may either be a Prolapsed Intervertebral Disc disease or a Lumbar Canal Stenosis.

Firstly kindly get an Xray of the lumbosacral spine done and a MRI of the same region.
Get it evaluated by an orthopedician .

In the meantime start the following :
1. Dexamethasone and Methycobalamine injections (short course of 4 to 5 days).
2. Pregablin and Duloxetine tablets at bed time.
3. Avoid forward bending and lifting heavy objects.
4. A good analgesic and muscle relaxant.
5. Diathermy to the lower back.

Further treatment will depend on investigation reports.

I hope my advice has helped.
Good luck
