Have Spot In The Brain Due To Migraines. Took Imetez Or Maxalt For Pain. What To Do Now?

I am a 41 yr old female who has suffered from migranes most of my life. i have on average 15 a month. I take imetrex or maxalt to manage the pain. Recently i experienced numbness on the left side of my head and face. I went to my neurologist who ordered an mri. It showed spots on my brain, but no stroke. She believes the spots are due to my history of migranes and says all the numbness is migrane aura even if i have no migrane pain at all, which is frequent. I am now having chin and chest tingling. it feels like someone is stabbing me with a needle. weakness in my left arm which is the same side i always have headaches on. The calves of my legs hurt so bad i can't sleep, along with the stabbing needles. a;so when i feel the pins and needles my skin is very itchy. I'm having a hard time believing this is from migranes, but she says it is. I'm debating seeing a different Dr. can you give me a direction to go in?

Dear user, Imitrex and Maxalt both are anti migraine drugs belonging to same category called triptans (5-HT agonist). some serious side effects of these drugs are feeling of pain or tightness in jaw, neck, or throat, chest pain or heavy feeling, pain spreading to the arm or shoulder, nausea, sweating, sudden numbness or weakness, especially on one side of the body. If you experience these symptom you must consult your neurologist who will most probably stop these drugs and suggest the alternatives.
