Have Swelling In Shoulder, Trapezius Muscle. Swelling I Soft. Ultra Sound Shows Enlarged Lymph Node. Suggestions?
I have a large soft lump (swelling) in my shoulder above my collar bone it feels like it is in front of my trapezius muscle not sure if it is related to me sleeping the wrong way the other night when I fell asleep with too many pillows under my neck but it has been there for a while now . The swelling is very soft and almost feels fluid like .After an ultra sound on the area the report came back that there was one slightly enlarged Lymph node in left supraclavicular region measuring 16mmx19mmx10mm with normal texture and no increased vascularity the report also says no other abnormalities seen within the area I am now wondering what all this swelling could be??
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The swelling under the trapezius muscle can be due to a lymph node swelling or a muscle cyst in the area. An FNAC of the swelling will help in identifying the exact cause. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
