Have Swollen Collar Bone. Have Pain And The End Of Collar Bone Is Protruding Out. What To Do?
Hi my left collar bone, well the end it is swollen. The bone near the center of the neck is larger than the right. Three weeks ago it felt as though I had pull a muscle on the left shoulder and around the collar bone. It felt tight with pain, then that went away. Now the bone that is in the center of the neck that is the end of the collar bone, is protruding outward with slight pain at times. Thanks. Janet. YYYY@YYYY
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The swelling at the end of the collar bone without any history of injury to the area can be due to a lymph node swelling in the area. A direct examination is an integral part of diagnosis and proper treatment.
