Have Swollen Jaws Since Childhood. How To Get Rid Of It?
Hi,i am 26 years old,my left jaw has always been swollen since i was kid of about 5 years i guess, because my mum said she took notice of when i was around that age.we saw a dentist when i kid and they asked us to wait when i grow up,the last time i saw one i was 15 years and he said there were blood vessels in there.i want to know is this condition common and can i get a surgery to get rid of it?
swollen jaw could be due to bony outgrowth,or could also be due to maligned jaws.
Definitely it can be treated.
please visit orthodontist for this and get yourself examined.orthodontist deals with the correction of jaws by aligning the teeth and adjacent structures.
Also there are various types of studies done and different x rays are taken to detect the underlying cause.
After evaluation and through examination you can visit your oral surgeon, who actually does orthognathic surgeries.
your orthodontist will explain you the exact cause of the bony growth and how it can be reduced.
Hope i have guided you towards the treatment.for further doubts please write to us.
wish you good health.
Thanks.
Take care.
