HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Chest pain can originate from any structure in the chest from the skin inwards.

With a history of smoking and alcohol use, you would need to rule out heart disease though this would be abnormal at your age.

This normally presents with central chest pain that is tight or heavy.
It would normally start with activity and decrease with rest.It may also be associated with shortness of breath and palpitations.
This is angina but there are other causes for heart related chest pain.

An ECG would be able to determine if there are any changes to the heart. This can be done at your doctors office.

Chest pain can also be due to anxiety, lung conditions, inflammation of the bones or muscles, GERD.

I hope this helps
