Have Type 1 Diabetes, Sjogren S. Swelling In Ankles And Legs After Taking Novolog. Any Ideas?

Hi.....I'm 72 yrs old and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 69. I've had Sjogren's with systemic manifestations for many years. Ever since being on Novolog (I don't need a basal insulin.....on a low carb diet) I have had bad peripheral swelling in feet, ankles and lower legs. It goes away during the night. The edema has not responded to a diuretic and thorough testing for venous insufficiency and blood clots was negative. I am not overweight and eat a healthy diet. Because I tend to get yeast easily having Sjogren's as well as diabetes I do use diflucan occasionally and have noticed that it reduces the swelling. Any ideas why I'm having such a prolonged edema reaction to novolog or why diflucan would have a positive effect on reducing the edema? Any ideas would be really helpful. The swelling has made it very difficult for me to wear shoes comfortably. I should mention that I do have peripheral neuropathy but have had it for years and it's assumed to be small fiber from Sjogren's. Thank you.

Hi
Thank for choosing, HCM, I always tells the patient for more specific in your history, it should be very accurate right from your age , sex occupation , past present medical history, correct investigation reports, without these it became very difficult to advise authentically, now here in your case you did not mentioned who you are, male, or female, you said type 1 diabetes but you did not attached any evidence of it, you again saying about ''Sjogren" which is also very confusing, I request you to be more up to the mark,,,, have good day.
